AvailableAbout Beamer
If there were a contest for World's Friendliest Cat, Beamer would surely be a contender. Beamer is about 9-10 months old and was rescued as a frightened, hungry, abandoned stray-- one of the many we got off the street last month after they were dumped outside to fend for themselves in single-digit temperatures. He is a sleek, energetic, social boy who loves to interact with people, so he should be adopted into a home where he will get lots of play time and not be unaccompanied for long periods of time. He has been known to hop onto people's laps, climb onto their shoulders, and nibble on their ears. Beamer is a true Velcro cat who likes so much attention that he may be a bit too much for one person to handle, Beamer's full of mischief and likes to get into shenanigans. While he is definitely not at all a mean cat, Beamer likes to play a bit rough, so a family with very small children would probably not be a good match. However, older kids who can handle his rough-house style of play should be OK. He gets along well with other cats after being introduced methodically-- we can certainly give you pointers on that. We have not yet observed him with dogs, but he seems inclined to like everybody once they have gained his trust, so we think he would do well with a cat-friendly dog. A home with at least one four-legged pal for him to play with would be ideal. Give him love and he will give you 1000 times more in return-- you'll never get anything better than that. He has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. His adopter will receive his medical records. He’s being fostered in Wellesley. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. In Big Bang's case, it's $225 -- a bargain for a new best friend who will love you for the rest of his life. Where else can you get a Beamer for that much? Cats can live past 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email Safercats11@gmail.com and say a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps rescuers match cats with the right adopters. Responses that include phone numbers are typically addressed more quickly. .
