She needs to go to a home with another friendly cat, or to be adopted with Myers. Here’s what her foster volunteers say about her: How would you describe the cat's general personality? Plaza is very comfortable with other cats but remains fearful of people. She is social with cats who reciprocate but has not shown much comfort with human interaction. Does the cat enjoy being pet? No. If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet? N/A Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched? She generally does not tolerate petting and will try to move away. Does the cat come on your lap? No. Does the cat like to be held? No. Does the cat sleep in your bed? No. Does the cat seek your attention? No. She primarily seeks interaction with other cats. Does the cat like to play? Yes, occasionally. What are the cat's favorite games and toys? She has stomped and played briefly with an electric toy and enjoys chasing a laser pointer. How vocal is the cat? Very quiet. What kinds of sounds does the cat make? She makes soft, happy greeting noises to other cats when initiating rubs. Does the cat scratch a scratcher? Not clearly observed yet. If no, please explain. She is not particularly food motivated and will sometimes let food sit before eating it. What is the cat's favorite treat? Greenies. At this point greenies are the surest way for us to get Plaza to come near. Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances? Yes, when we try to pet her. Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you? Yes. She has given mild scratches to ward us off when we push her boundaries, such as when she is cornered while hiding in a box. Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you? No. Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)? No. To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful? Fearful of people. If you have observed the cat with other animals, please describe how they get on? Plaza is very friendly with other cats who reciprocate and regularly greets them with rubbing and social behavior. Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren’t covered by the previous questions? She greets other cats with little happy sounds before rubbing against them over and over. In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt? Plaza is extremely cat‑social and clearly enjoys living with other friendly cats. What are the cat's challenges and how have you found to best manage them? She remains fearful of people and does not currently tolerate petting. She would likely do best in a home with other friendly cats and adopters who are interested in continuing patient socialization work.
