Adoption fee: $650 Meet Squeegee Squeegee is a 10–12 month old, 14 lb Westie/Maltese mix with a big personality packed into a small, adorable body. Rescued from the shelter, this confident little guy doesn’t have a shy bone in his body. He’s curious, affectionate, and full of life, bringing a fun and lively energy wherever he goes. Squeegee thrives on a consistent daily routine that helps him feel secure and balanced. He typically wakes up around 8 a.m. for a potty break, followed by breakfast at about 9 a.m. His days are a cheerful mix of zoomies, independent toy play, and well-earned naps, with several potty breaks throughout. In the early evening, around 6 p.m., he enjoys a longer walk, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Afterward, he spends an hour or two playing before settling in for cozy cuddle time on the sofa. He gets one final bathroom break before bed and then sleeps soundly through the night in his crate. From the moment he arrived in his foster home, Squeegee showed off his fearless and inquisitive nature by confidently exploring every corner of the space. While he hasn’t changed in his boldness, he has grown even more affectionate as he’s settled in. He forms bonds quickly—often within minutes— and loves being around his people. He strikes a wonderful balance between being a companion who will happily follow you from room to room and an independent pup who can entertain himself with toys. He’s both a cuddler and a self-starter, making him easy to love in any setting. Squeegee interacts well with people of all ages and is friendly during walks with both adults and children. When visitors arrive, he may bark at first, but he settles quickly once he’s been introduced. Although he does not currently live with another dog, he tends to bark at larger dogs when he encounters them outside but has done well off-leash with other small dogs. Playfulness is one of Squeegee’s defining traits. He has plenty of energy, loves toys— especially soft and stuffed ones—and gets bursts of zoomies throughout the day. During play, he can sometimes become overly excited, which may lead to some jumping or mouthing - no surprise for a young dog. While his mouthing can occasionally be a little too enthusiastic, it does not break skin, and with continued guidance, he is expected to improve. He’s eager, expressive, and always ready for fun. On walks, Squeegee does quite well on leash. He does not chase squirrels, which is a big plus, but he can become distracted when he sees other dogs. With continued exposure and training, he is likely to gain more focus and confidence in these situations. He is crate-trained and sleeps peacefully through the night, although he may bark briefly when first placed in his crate or x-pen before settling down, especially once he can no longer see his person. He also enjoys chewing on soft items like pillows, dog beds, and stuffed toys. What truly sets Squeegee apart is how quickly he bonds and how much love he has to give. Within minutes, he can become your loyal little companion, ready to follow you around or curl up beside you at the end of the day. His expressive puppy eyes and the way he gently paws at you for attention are impossible to resist, and his cozy evening snuggles are the perfect way to unwind. Squeegee is a joyful, loving pup who will bring both laughter and warmth into any home lucky enough to have him.
