Hi there, I'm Izzy - a 43-pound American Red Heeler mix with a huge heart and an even bigger love for my people! I'm what you'd call a total lover girl, happiest when I'm right by your side soaking up all the affection and attention you're willing to give. Wherever you go, I want to follow, because being close to my person makes me feel safe and happy. I'll do just about anything to be near you, and if there's even the tiniest chance I can climb into your lap, I'm taking it! Snuggling is truly my favorite hobby, and I love curling up close so we can relax together after a long day. I can be a little nervous when I experience new things, and while I try my best to be brave, I sometimes get startled and need reassurance from someone I trust. I really bond deeply with my person and look to them for comfort and guidance, so a patient home that will help build my confidence would mean the world to me. With gentle training, positive experiences, and plenty of love, I know I'll continue to grow into my best self. I just need a family willing to go at my pace, give me encouragement, and help me feel secure as I learn that the world isn't so scary. In return, I promise endless loyalty, constant companionship, and all the cuddles a devoted girl like me can give. My adoption fee of $300+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society. All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
