I'm Susie, a 30-pound Australian Cattle Dog mix with the sweetest heart you could ever meet. I'm a very gentle and submissive girl, and sometimes I'll even crawl toward you just to ask for love and reassurance. Being close to my people is my favorite thing - I really just want your attention and to feel safe by your side. Every now and then I get a little burst of playful energy and a pep in my step, but I can still get nervous and may lower myself back down as I work through my shyness. I'm always watching the world around me, quietly taking everything in and learning as I go. Even though I have a soft personality, I'm still an active girl who needs proper mental and physical exercise to stay happy and balanced. I love exploring outside and observing what everyone else is doing, and I'd really benefit from continued socialization and confidence-building experiences. With patience, kindness, and lots of encouragement, I know I'll continue to blossom into a confident companion. All I need is a loving family willing to give me the time, understanding, and affection I deserve so I can truly shine. My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society. All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
