We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State. We are a local foster home based rescue. Sugar is a dog whose name is perfect for him because he is so sweet. He is a gentle guy who loves being part of a family and is longing to be a cherished friend. Whether you are relaxing on the couch our going for walks Sugar is ready to go! Sugar will bark when he hears strange noises or sees people outside the window so apartment life might not be the best living situation for him. Sugar is a gentleman when meeting other dogs and would enjoy a canine companion. He has bee respectful towards the cat in his foster home and would be fine with a dog savvy cat. Sugar has met children and enjoys them but he gets very excited when he meets them at first. Because of the quick and unpredictable nature of young children we are asking for a home without children under 8 years of age. Sugar recently received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. He also received a dental with a full mouth extraction so he will need soft food for life. Sugar has a Grade 2 luxating patella on his right leg and will sometimes skip along. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. Sugar is 10 years old and weighs 12 pounds. Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We don’t adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We don’t ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA.
