Meet Lulu! Lulu is a 50lb, 4-year-old, APBT mix who is looking for a second chance at a forever home. She was recently returned to the shelter after showing fear around unfamiliar men. In her previous home, the owners’ adult son did not fully respect her boundaries, which led to a minor bite. With time and patience, Lulu warms up to men and does just fine once she feels comfortable. She is ready to find a patient, understanding home where she can feel safe, build trust, and share her loving personality. According to her previous owner, Lulu is crate trained and mostly house trained, making her a great companion for someone looking for a dog who already has a good foundation. She gets along well with other dogs and would likely do well with a canine friend. Lulu can be a little timid around men at first, but with patience and kindness, she warms up and shows her true affectionate nature. Once she bonds with her person, she loves to stay close by your side, offering quiet companionship and plenty of love. Lulu also enjoys letting loose and having fun when she feels comfortable. Whether it’s a game, a toy, or a bit of playful energy, she’s always happy to share those joyful moments with her person.
