About Betsy

Betsy is a 5-year-old pittie/Great Dane mix who’s settled in well after a rough start. She was surrendered after being attacked by other dogs, but she’s healed both physically and emotionally in her foster home and is gaining confidence every day. Betsy is people-oriented and happiest when she can lounge on the couch with someone she trusts, follow her person from room to room, and share affectionate kisses. She’s curious about the two cats she lives with and tries to engage with them, although they aren’t thrilled about the attention. Betsy gets along well with her 10-year-old foster brother and enjoys his company. This girl is house trained and knows several commands—she’s smart and picks up new things fast. Betsy does get lonely during the day, so she’d likely enjoy a calm dog companion. Her foster calls her a gentle soul and a perfect lady with good manners. Adopters will need to come to Indianapolis, IN to meet her in person. Betsy is ready to move on from foster life and settle into a permanent home. Click apply to start the adoption process.
