Meet Jasper! A 30lb, 2-year-old, Doxy/APBT mix who was surrendered to the shelter alongside his brother, Tank, when their previous owner could no longer keep up with a consistent bathroom schedule, which led to accidents in the home. Since arriving here, Jasper has kept his kennel clean, showing that he likely has a solid foundation in house training and just needs a stable routine to thrive. Jasper is a charming, independent guy with a friendly spirit and a playful streak. He has a medium-to-high energy level, making him a great companion for someone who enjoys a mix of activity and downtime. Jasper is perfectly content entertaining himself with toys or exploring his surroundings, but he’ll happily wander over every so often to check in with his person. He enjoys affection, though he prefers it on his own terms, adding to his unique personality. Jasper has shown interest in other dogs, but he may be a bit selective about his canine friends and would do best with thoughtful introductions. Overall, he’s a well-balanced dog who values both connection and independence, making him a great match for someone who appreciates a companion with a little personality and a lot of heart.
