Bronco
AvailableBronco is a large, adult male Labrador Retriever and American Bulldog mix with a striking black coat. At 4 years and 1 month old, he is house trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. Bronco currently resides in Emporia, KS, hoping to find a family that welcomes his playful, loyal spirit as the only animal in the home.
About Bronco
Bronco is closing in on a year in the shelter—April 21st will mark that milestone. Now at the Emporia location, he's hoping a fresh set of eyes will spot him. Despite the routine of shelter life for so long, Bronco greets every day with a big smile and keeps his cheerful spirit alive. He takes perimeter sniffing seriously in the dog yard and has a habit of snacking on grass when outside. Beds are his favorite, and he lights up for car rides (especially if a pup cup is promised). Bronco loves being the center of his human’s world, but he isn’t looking to share that attention with other animals—he'll do best as the only pet. He’s become a bit of a community ambassador during outreach events. Whatever his past holds is unknown, but his future would be well spent on your couch, not in a kennel. Questions about Bronco
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Bronco’s Labrador Retriever and American Bulldog heritage means he thrives in a home with plenty of space to stretch out, ideally with access to a secure yard. Environments that allow for daily exercise and time outdoors will keep him happiest.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A large, securely fenced yard is great for a dog like Bronco. This mix needs regular outdoor time to explore, sniff, and play, but long daily walks can also work if a yard isn’t available.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Yes, both Labrador Retrievers and American Bulldogs are often good with children. Bronco himself is noted as getting along with kids and is likely to enjoy a family environment.
