George Youngster is a 7 year old dachshund and chihuahua mix (chi-weenie). He is black and tan and weighs 12 pounds. George came to Diamond Dachshund Rescue with his daddy (Skipper Drei) and sister (Princess Emerald) because sadly his human dad passed away. George is sweet and very calm. He is good with the other dogs in his foster home. George likes the other dogs in his foster's home. He doesn't play or chase around or play with toys but given time, he might! George would do best in a home with another dog around and or his human that is home more often. He's good with adults and kids. We aren't sure about cats because his foster home doesn't have any. George likes to be with his foster people and will lay down on the couch with them. He likes to be held and scratched! George sleeps on a dog bed. He likes to be on the big bed to have scratches but prefers to sleep on his own bed. George was at the vet and had all his vaccinations done. He was also neutered and had a dental. He came with almost no teeth, so what teeth he has left are bright and shiny! George has had time to heal and is fully recovered from his neuter and dental. Please see FAQs for current adoption fees.
