About Brooks Dunn
Meet Brooks Dunn, a charming Dachshund who came to DDRTX from a hoarding situation known as "The Country Music Stars." Though he was initially shy, Brooks has blossomed and enjoys being petted. He prefers to stay by your side rather than curl up in your lap. This guy has a lively spirit, especially at meal times—he thinks all food belongs to him! To teach him some manners, his foster family has him eat in his crate for now. Brooks is a quick learner, mastering outdoor potty training and leash walking with ease. He’s still a bit timid with new people and takes extra time to warm up to men and kids, so a quieter home without children would suit him best. While he hasn’t met any cats, he gets along famously with the dogs in his foster home. Despite his past, Brooks has shown resilience. He’s receiving treatment for heartworm and has had all the necessary vet work done, including neutering and dental care. Ideally, Brooks needs another dog to help him feel secure as he adjusts to a new home. With consistent love and patience, he’s sure to thrive. If you’re ready to give Brooks a warm and nurturing environment, he’s waiting for you! What are you waiting for? Apply today!
