About Hank Williams
Hank Williams, named after the legendary country singer, is one of the many who came to DDRTX from a hoarding situation. He's around 3 years old and weighs about 20 pounds. Hank is gradually discovering life outside of trauma, and while he’s made significant progress, he still carries the scars of his past. Loud noises and sudden movements can send him into a fearful state, so patience and understanding are essential. When he feels safe, Hank transforms into a loving companion, eager to give kisses and bask in attention. Socialization with new people is a challenge for him, especially with men, so a calm, secure home is a must. Hank enjoys playing with toys and would do best with a confident furry buddy in his forever home. Although he has had a few accidents, he’s mostly house trained. Hank does have some anxiety around meal times and eats quickly, so a slow feeder could help. He’s still adapting to outdoor life, needing a secure harness and limited walks while he’s treated for heartworms. His crate training is a work in progress; he sometimes struggles with bedtime crating but is slowly getting used to it. Hank is a gentle soul who yearns for love and comfort and, with the right support, will blossom into a wonderful companion. If you think you can provide Hank with the care he needs, he could be the perfect addition to your family. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
