About Penny
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Penny, also lovingly called Penny Lane, Pen Pen, Pig Pen, Penmeister, and Penster. This affectionate, fun-loving 12-week-old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler puppy is a champion cuddle-buddy who adores nap time on your lap and gets creative in play, whether with toys or with anything else she finds around the house. Penny will thrive in a home where she can romp and play with another confident, playful dog—ideally one young enough to join in her energy and show her how enjoyable the world can be. While she’s respectful toward senior dogs, Penny’s puppy energy needs a positive outlet. Penny’s playful chase instinct makes her best suited for homes with either a dog-savvy cat or no cats at all, as she sometimes gets a little too excited. For families, Penny will do best living with gentle older kids over 8 who understand how to move calmly and slowly with her—her exuberance may be overwhelming for younger children. She’s already figured out how to hop over a two-foot pen, but has done well within a secure five-foot fenced yard and hasn’t tried to test its boundaries. Crate time is no trouble for Penny; she rests contentedly for naps, bedtime, or travel. While she’s had some mild car motion sickness or nerves (something common in puppies and often outgrown), Penny is generally cautious with new people and places, but given a little time, she warms up nicely. She’s already started sleeping through the night, cozy in her crate from 8:30pm to 6am, and is making progress toward house training—she just needs someone who’s home during the day to help with supervision and consistency. Penny loves carrying things in her mouth and even chases after and brings back toys. With gentle training, patience, and positive social experiences, she’ll flourish as a loyal family dog and companion. Penny was born January 12, 2026, is current on her puppy vaccines, has been wormed, and is microchipped. She’ll be adopted with a spay contract to ensure she continues to thrive. Bring joy and companionship home with Penny! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
