About Lucy Love
Lucy Love is a 4-month-old (as of early April) Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix with a ton of puppy charm and energy. She’s estimated to reach 35-40lbs when fully grown and already shows a lively, playful personality. Lucy Love absolutely adores other dogs—she wants to play with everyone she meets and adapts her approach seamlessly to their style. She’s great with kids, always gentle, but new adopters should know she’s still learning not to jump in excitement. Her foster notes that she hasn’t met cats yet, but they expect she’d do well. Lucy Love is picking up commands like ‘sit’ and ‘come’ quickly and is working on ‘lay down.’ She lets you know when she needs to go out by patiently sitting at the door, though there may be a stray accident if play gets too exciting. Crate time isn’t her favorite at first, but she settles down on her own after a few minutes. Her list of favorite things is long: squeaky toys, peanut butter, puzzles, sniffing outside, and meeting both people and dogs. She doesn’t appreciate being told ‘no,’ but that just speaks to her big, eager personality. Lucy Love could truly thrive in a home with another dog. Your new best friend is just one click away.
