🖤 ONYX (Male) Born 2/11/26 Onyx’s life began with a close call—his mama was dumped while heavily pregnant and brought to a shelter, where she delivered her puppies just days later. Knowing a shelter is no place for newborns, The Misfit Ranch rescued the entire family and placed them in foster care where they could thrive. Onyx has been raised in a home environment and is full of playful, happy puppy energy. He’s curious, social, and always ready to explore or engage with his people. His mama is a petite 28 pounds, so we expect Onyx to be medium-sized when full grown. Onyx is also the puppy who had DNA testing completed, which confirmed that he and his siblings are purebred heelers (though not AKC certified due to lack of documented lineage). Heelers are known for being smart, loyal, and active companions, and Onyx will benefit from a home that can provide both mental stimulation and structure. That said, thanks to his calm, sweet mama and early socialization, he’s very much suited for family life. He is still a baby and will need a home where someone is around most of the day to support his training and growth. Please note: Onyx will be required to be neutered between 4–6 months of age, and this will be strictly enforced as part of his adoption.
