💚 EMERALD (Female) Born 2/11/26 Emerald’s story starts before she was even born. Her mama was found dumped under a bridge while very pregnant and taken to a shelter, where she gave birth just days later. Newborn puppies don’t belong in a shelter environment, so The Misfit Ranch stepped in and brought this entire little family to safety. Emerald has been raised in a loving foster home from the very beginning, and it shows. She’s curious, playful, incredibly snuggly, and already very tuned into people. She thrives on praise and affection and loves being part of whatever you’re doing. Her mama is a petite 28 pounds, so we expect Emerald and her siblings to be medium-sized when full grown. Onyx (her brother) had DNA testing done, which confirmed these puppies are purebred heelers (though not AKC certified, as that requires documented lineage). Heelers are known for being intelligent, loyal, and active—but Emerald is also influenced by her mama’s calm, sweet temperament and her family-style upbringing. She doesn’t need a working ranch life, just a home committed to keeping her mentally and physically engaged. She is still very young and will do best in a home where someone is around most of the day to provide training, structure, and guidance. Please note: Emerald will be required to be spayed between 4–6 months of age, and this will be strictly enforced as part of her adoption.
