Ida's story starts in a place no dog should ever be...alone on the side of a highway, watching the world rush past her. And somehow despite that she came out of it soft, trusting, and full of love. That's Ida in a nutshell...she chooses the bright side! One of our volunteers spotted her on the road just in time and brought her in to us, and since then Ida has been proving that she's something really special. She isn't just sweet, she's the kind of dog who leans into you when you pet her, like she's been waiting her whole life for that exact moment. She makes fast friends with everyone she meets, both people and other dogs, and settles in like she's always belonged there. No drama, no fuss...just a genuinely good little dog who wants to be part of things. At around 2 years old and 17 pounds, she can be quite playful, breaking into happy zoomies when she's excited, then happily curling up next to you for some good old fashioned belly rubs! She's smart, treat-motivated, and eager to please, which makes her a great candidate for continued training or just learning the rhythms of her new home.
