About Papaya
They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Meet Papaya, affectionately called 'Pya', who has blossomed immensely since leaving the shelter environment she knew for a year. Early on, Papaya lacked socialization and was uncertain around other dogs, toys, and new experiences. Her time in a loving foster home has helped her open upβsheβs become more curious, less anxious, and is now eager to connect gently with people and dogs, though she still prefers slow introductions and finds toddlers overwhelming. Papaya is seeking a patient home where she can keep growing; an adopter who enjoys walks or hikes would be a great match. Sheβs perfectly content as the only dog but can also join a dog-friendly home that understands her need for a gradual adjustment. This sweet, medium-sized Lab/Pit Bull mix is housebroken and crate trained. For families interested in Papaya, children should be 12 or older. All routine vaccinations are up to date at adoption. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
