About Dashiell
Dashiell is a very sweet kitten who loves to play and cuddle! Although he is only 9-10 weeks old, his life is already on its third chapter and he is hoping that you will write the fourth and final chapter! The first chapter of Dashiell’s life is a mystery. He was most likely born somewhere in Portland and cared for (although underfed and flea-ridden) until he was about 9 weeks old. Chapter 2 begins when a van pulls up to a curb in Portland, a man gets out with a kitten and asks the (houseless) people there if they want a kitten. They say “no”, but the man tosses the kitten to them anyway and drives away. The people pass the kitten along to someone who knows someone who can probably get him into a foster home. By that evening, the kitten, now named Dashiell, is safely housed in a kind person’s bathroom and they call their NWAC contact. Chapter 3 sees Dashiell moved from the rescue home to a foster home. This is within 3 days of “the toss”. Dash is immediately vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered. He has settled quickly and easily into his foster home where he loves sitting on shoulders, playing and cuddling. His favorite pastimes are cat tree climbing, playing in a tunnel and chasing anything at the end of a wand. Will Chapter 4 be written by you, when you welcome Dash to his forever home? He's ready for you! He has encountered other cats and children since his rescue and seems fine with both. He has not yet met a dog, that we know of, but would likely be fine with proper introductions. Please head to our website to fill out an application prior to setting up a meet. Once your adoption application is approved we will contact you to set up a meeting. http://nwac-oregon.org/adoption-application/ The $175 adoption fee Includes spay/neuter, microchip, worming and flea treatment, current vaccines for their age, and a vet exam.
