Arwin, sometimes also called Jazz, is a black miniature poodle with a lively, puppy-like energy. At just 3 and a half years old and about 8 lbs, she packs a ton of spirit into a small frame. Arwin is whip-smart—she already knows sit, shake, and comes when called. She’s house trained, picked up the puppy pad routine on her own, but prefers to go outside. She is not a fan of crates or being alone for long; this dog loves being close to people and will stick by your side like glue. Toys, belly rubs, chasing balls, and racing her foster poodle brother are her favorites. Arwin really comes alive during yard zoomies, and she’ll happily parade her toys around all day. She gets along well with other dogs and would fit in with older, dog-savvy kids. She’s enthusiastic when meeting new people—but can bark for attention and gets a little excited on leash walks. She’s making progress with her manners, but don’t expect her to share her busy bones without a discussion. Although Arwin arrived heartworm positive, she’s nearly finished with treatment and is expected to recover fully.
