Meet Lucy – a tender-hearted survivor looking for love. At just under four years old, Lucy is a spayed female rescued from a severe hoarding situation. Despite her challenging past, she's incredibly gentle and quietly resilient. While she’s still learning leash skills, Lucy is pad-trained and shows great kindness when hand-fed. She’s beginning to discover the joys of eating from a bowl and exploring the world beyond her familiar surroundings. Lap time and gentle petting bring her comfort, and she particularly enjoys soft dog beds in quiet corners. Lucy has never shown aggression, even in stressful situations. However, she is shy and will thrive best in a calm, patient environment. Her ideal home would be free from young children and include a secure, fenced yard with a designated potty area. It would also benefit from the presence of a confident dog to guide her. Currently, Lucy resides with her friend Ethel, although they’re gradually being separated to foster independence.
