About Snug
This could be the start of something paw-some. Meet Snug! At just 4 months old and weighing in at 10 pounds, Snug is a beagle and Australian cattle dog/blue heeler mix with an irresistibly soulful personality. Since arriving in New York, she’s blossomed from a shy traveler into a thoughtful, curious puppy who loves to lounge on the couch and bask in her foster’s care. She’s still learning about the world, so a gentle home that lets her gain confidence at her own speed will help her bloom even more. Snug is equally content curling up by your side as she is racing around the backyard in joyful zoomies, always making sure her person is close for reassurance before seeking her next adventure. She’s bright, eager to learn, and shows off an expressive face that makes her feelings crystal clear. Snug is cat-friendly and gets along peacefully with her foster’s resident felines. She interacts well with other dogs and is already making great progress with her leash manners, quickly picking up new routines and skills. This little one is crate trained and house trained, handling time alone without fuss. While she’s past her puppy mouthy phase, a calm and patient environment will help her grow into her best self. Snug would thrive in a home with older children (ages 8+) or adults only due to the typical playful streak puppies experience, and she needs an adopter with experience with active breeds who can provide structure, training, and plenty of stimulation—think 90 minutes of morning movement, regular walks, and brain games to keep her sharp. She’s the perfect mix of snuggly and independent—just waiting for the right family to discover her sweet, thoughtful heart. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
