About Vada
ADOPTION DONATION IS $475 AND INCLUDES TRANSPORT. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO, AS IT CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OUR ADOPTION AND SCREENING PROCESS. Our process begins with an application. If we believe it may be a good match, we will reach out to schedule a phone interview, followed by a video call with the foster home. A virtual home visit, along with personal and veterinary reference checks, are required to complete the adoption process. Once approved, the dog will be placed on the next available transport, which runs every few weeks and is included in the adoption donation. If you are not able to welcome a dog until a later date, please wait to apply until that time. We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to help these dogs find homes. If you are not serious about moving forward with the adoption process, please do not apply. If other people in your household are part of the decision, please make sure they are fully on board before submitting an application. This helps ensure we respect everyone’s time. ___ Vada is a 5-year-old, 50 lb spayed female pittie mix with the most beautiful grey and white coat and a magnetic personality. This adorable girl is equal parts playful, affectionate, and full of life — she’s the kind of dog who brings energy, joy, and nonstop tail wags wherever she goes. If you’re looking for a fun, loving companion who’s always ready to be part of the action, Vada is your girl. Vada is being fostered in Austin, Texas and is available for adoption out-of-state. Transport can be arranged for approved adopters. Please note, our process starts with an application. If we think you might be a good fit, we’ll reach out to coordinate a phone interview, followed by a video call with her foster home. A virtual home visit, plus personal and vet reference checks, are required to complete the process. Transport is included in our adoption donation. Vada is a social butterfly with other dogs and loves high-energy play. She’s enthusiastic, playful, and thrives on interaction — the kind of dog who will happily zoom around the yard and engage in a good play session. She’s been around dogs ranging from 20 lb puppies to 60–70 lb adults and does great with all of them. She reads social cues well and knows when another dog has had enough, making her a fun but respectful playmate. On leash, she gets excited when she sees other dogs and is eager to go say hello — she just loves making new friends. She currently lives with kids ranging from 4 to 18 years old and absolutely adores them. Vada is friendly, affectionate, and loves being part of a family environment. The only thing to note is her excitement — she can jump up when greeting people, so while she does well with kids of all ages, supervision and continued training around greetings will help set her up for success. Vada is a dream on leash — she walks beautifully and is easy to handle, making daily walks enjoyable and stress-free. She is fully house-trained and does great in a crate, typically sleeping from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. without any issues. She’s comfortable in her crate and uses it as her space to relax and eat her meals. She has no issues with food or resource guarding and has shown great manners around people and other dogs when it comes to food, toys, and treats. Her energy level is moderate — she loves to play and be active but also knows how to settle and relax. She would thrive in an active home that can give her regular exercise and engagement, whether that’s walks, playtime, or just being included in daily life. She doesn’t need another dog to be happy but would certainly enjoy having a playful companion. Vada is outgoing, curious, playful, smart, silly, and incredibly affectionate. She loves her stuffies and hard chews, and she’s always ready for a game or some cuddle time. She’s very people-oriented and will happily shower you with love — she’s truly a “Velcro dog” at heart. When meeting strangers, Vada is friendly and excited — she loves people and isn’t shy about showing it. She may jump up in her excitement (she just wants to say hello!), so continued work on polite greetings will go a long way. She rides great in the car and is always up for an adventure. Vada’s ideal home is one that matches her energy and enthusiasm — active, engaged, and ready to include her in everyday life. She would do best with a family that can continue reinforcing good habits and provide her with both physical activity and affection. If you’re looking for a happy, loving, playful dog who will keep you smiling and fill your home with energy and affection, Vada is your girl. With a little patience and consistency, she will be the most loyal, fun, and devoted companion you could ask for. ___ ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
