Now officially in her “older puppy” era, Nona’s personality is really starting to shine. She still has that playful puppy spark, but she’s growing into herself more each day — building confidence, soaking up the world around her, and learning how to channel all that joy into being the best girl. This little low-rider is built like a tank with her short, sturdy frame and front-heavy bod. It’s hilarious watching her proudly hop onto the couch now that she’s big enough, and even funnier seeing her sprint after her long-legged siblings, determined to keep up. She may be low to the ground, but make no mistake — she is fast. She loves to zoom around the backyard with her favorite toy and greet you with an enthusiastic leap when you walk in. Nona is all sweetness wrapped in a compact, playful package. She’s not overly needy but loves being near her people — the perfect little buddy who’s happy to hang out wherever you are. When she gets excited, her whole body wiggles, especially that booty, and her tail goes a mile a minute. She absolutely loves meeting new friends and greets people with full-body wiggles every time. She’s honestly such a hoot. Nona has a stubborn streak that only makes her more lovable and funny. She’s a silly, stubborn girl who brings so much love and laughter wherever she goes. She’s incredibly clever and has even figured out how to zigzag through her foster’s baby gates like she’s solving a maze. Watching her problem-solve her way around obstacles is both impressive and hilarious. She’s a delight to walk and is currently learning to walk on a harness. She really enjoys getting out on adventures where she can meet new people and dogs, take in all the sights and smells, and show off her social side. Nona is fully crate trained — especially overnight — and does great settling in for the night. She can be a bit vocal at times and prefers being close to her people when possible. She is still working on potty training and will need a home committed to continuing her routine and helping her stay consistent. Like many puppies, Nona is also a bit of a “chomper” and will lovingly nibble at your chin when she’s excited — something she’ll need guidance and redirection with as she continues to learn her manners. One of her favorite games is retrieving — she loves bringing you her ball and will proudly drop it at your feet… even if you didn’t ask for it (or want it). She’s dog-friendly and gets along great with her siblings and her big foster uncle. She’s motivated by both treats and toys, making her a wonderful candidate for continued training as she matures. Nona isn’t the biggest fan of car rides just yet, but she’s always happy to curl up and cuddle after a fun day of adventures. Nona hasn’t been around children or cats yet, but we believe she’d do well in a calm home with respectful, well-mannered kids who understand how to interact with an older puppy. She’d thrive with a confident canine friend to play with and learn from. While we can’t guarantee her adult size, based on her age and breed mix, Nona is expected to grow into a large-sized dog.
