About Gina

Gina is an 8-month-old spayed female Belgian Malinois/American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a short, chocolate-brown coat. She started life on the streets, sleeping in a cardboard box near a busy road before an attentive foster scooped her up and gave her a chance at a proper life. Today, she shares her foster home in Houston, TX with both small and large dogs—but feels most at ease with dogs she's slowly introduced to, likely because she survived some rough experiences with adult dogs before rescue. Gina does best with familiar canine friends and would thrive in a household that already has another dog she can bond with. Cats aren’t a fit for her, as she gets overly excited around them. Gina loves to play tug-of-war, collect her toys, and invent games to entertain herself. She's crate trained, can be left crated for up to eight hours without accidents, and is working steadily on her house training. Walks are a highlight and she’s learned the basics of fetch, though she’s happy just to have her people close by. She’s still a puppy and gets exuberant, so a home with older children (10+) is best. Gina would be an excellent match for an active household ready for the commitment of raising a large, energetic dog who needs daily play, ongoing positive training, and plenty of attention. Gina’s adoption fee is $475. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
