Isabella is a striking blue merle American Bully, about three years old, who is searching for a family willing to give her patience and understanding as she settles in. Sheās been a staff favorite in rescueāsmart, affectionate, and genuinely easy to live with. Isabella is dog friendly and has done well with every dog sheās met, though, like most dogs, she may appreciate a brief adjustment period when meeting new friends in a new environment. Sheās also lived comfortably with cats indoors, though outdoor cats might trigger her chase instinct. Older kids or teens who are calm will be a better fit for her; she is sensitive to loud or chaotic situations and can get anxious with high-energy young children. She became panicked with a screaming toddler but felt at ease with a gentle, calm teen. Isabella is playfulāshe loves chasing lizards in the yard and will happily splash around in a baby pool. Sheās social with visitors, adjusting smoothly to new people and settings under calm conditions, and has attended adoption events and even visited a vet clinic without issue. Sheās completed two adoption trials and, while the families adored her, they ultimately found the transitions too challenging for Isabella, particularly in busy or unpredictable households. She is not aggressive, but she needs a gentle, stable routine to thrive. Isabella uses her crate as a safe retreat and finds comfort in having her own spot to decompress.
