Bertha 3 years old | Female | 55 lbs Bertha is a beautiful, sweet girl who is ready to find a family to call her own. She was rescued from the euthanasia list at a very high-kill rural shelter and has been thriving since getting her second chance. Bertha is affectionate, people-oriented, and loves spending time with her humans. Bertha does best with dogs her size. She has shown the strongest compatibility with male dogs but has also done well when meeting female dogs of similar size with proper introductions. Because Bertha becomes very focused on cats, a home without cats is required. For the same reason, small dogs may not be ideal housemates. She has done well with people of all ages and has been around children ages 7 and older. While she has not been tested with younger children, she has a very sweet nature and enjoys being around people.
