About Padme
Padme is a 4-year-old, medium-sized Pit Bull mix with a short, chocolate coat and a gentle, expressive face. She came to the shelter after being protective of her puppies, showing an instinct to guard them that led to an unfortunate bite—never directed at a child. Since then, she’s been searching for a stable, understanding home. Padme has always lived indoors, enjoys long walks, and is house trained. She knows basic commands and loves attention, cuddling, and outdoor adventures. Thunderstorms scare her and she can dash out open doors given the chance. Separation anxiety is a real challenge for her; she gets destructive when left alone for long periods, so she needs someone with the patience and willingness to help build her trust. Padme does best as the only animal in a home—she does not get along with cats or other dogs, but she does well with children. Now spayed and fully vaccinated, she’s hoping for a calm household with someone who won’t leave her alone too much. Give Padme the security she craves, and she’ll give back endless loyalty and affection. Start your journey together! Apply now.
