Motto is a ~4 year-old unofficial Best Ears Contestant who came from our shelter partner in rural Kentucky, where dogs can be as sweet and adorable as they come, but have almost no chance of being seen by potential adopters. Motto was turned into the local shelter down there by someone who said that he was their friend's dog who moved away and they were having trouble finding him a home. Sadly the person who had Motto had a big male dog who was not a fan of Motto's, so they could not keep him. Motto's previous owner stated that he was good with cats, dogs, and kids, and we can see why! He is super social, affectionate, and just plain nice! Motto is already learning to be a Chicago boy, and he is ready to trade country roads for a cozy couch and a family of his own. Don't let the small size fool you-little Motto has a big personality. He's playful and cuddly, always up for a walk or play time, but just as happy curling up beside you after a long day. As you can see, he's mastered the pleading look that makes you think he has received zero treats in his entire life, but he's the perfect weight for his size at 15 pounds, so don't let him fool you! Motto is still getting used to all the new sights and sounds of a busier world, but he's learning quickly and gaining confidence every day.
