It’s 👅Tongue-Out Tuesday 👅, and just look at our tail-waggingest little treasure enjoying this beautiful last day of March 🍀. For Scallion here, March definitely came in like a lion 🦁: found as a stray and saved by our friends at Campbell County Animal Shelter , having to quickly learn to adjust to life at our little shelter with one million cats only to suddenly come down with some kind of mystery virus that landed her in the most capable hands of VEG (where she made a lot of fans 😍), this girl has had a whirlwind month- and now she’s finally ready for better and brighter days ahead ☀️!! At about ~9 months and 20.8lbs, Scallion is the tenderest mix of both playful puppy antics and a certain subtle wisdom that’s well beyond her years 🧘‍♀️. Her ‘breed’ is anyone’s guess- maybe a hint of Lab? Terrier? Some kinda herding dog thrown in there? Precious baby is for sure. Scallion can have her bursts of puppy energy moments and can be a bit barky in more frenetic situations (that’s when she becomes ‘Rapscallion 🏴‍☠️’), but she is such a good listener and can be easily redirected (even when dealing with Dusty who takes great pleasure in antagonizing the dogs at times 😈). More than anything it seems, Scallion loves to be near you, head on lap, toy in mouth- though she definitely won’t say no to an outdoor ‘fetch’ session 🎾. And while she’s learning to be a bit better about it, this girl will try to eat all the food. Cat food, human food, her co-resident’s dog food- if there is a bowl, a treat, a crumb, a used napkin-this girl will try to scarf it down, so planned mealtimes and well-portioned meals are an absolute must !! Aside from being spayed, vaccinated, Heartworm tested, and microchipped, this girl possesses what might be one of the most curiously adorable nubbin tails you’ve ever seen! Likely injured long ago, the tip of her tail is crimped into a little curlicue nub ➰🥺 . It’s something you have to see to believe 👀!
