Meet Samara – Your Loyal Adventure Buddy & Cuddle Companion Samara is a 7-year-old black Lab mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She comes from a loving home, but due to a recent change in her family’s circumstances, they’re no longer able to care for her. Samara is now looking for a fresh start for her person or family who can give her the love and attention she deserves. Samara is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. She loves being outside, whether it’s playing catch, exploring the yard, or splashing in her kiddie pool (yes, she’s definitely a water dog!). She’s happiest when she’s active, engaged, and part of the fun. Samara was recently taken on an outing and it was reported that she was great in the car, wonderful at the groomer's and had a blast in the park. Once the day winds down, Samara is all about relaxing. She’s a champion cuddler who’s ready to curl up with you at the end of the night, soak up affection, and just enjoy being close. Snacks and belly rubs are two of her favorite things. Samara does well with adults and older kids (8+). Samara can be choosey about her doggie friends. She would do best in a house as the only dog. She would thrive in a home that can give her a mix of outdoor time, mental stimulation, and loving companionship. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting. • You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF. • Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences. • We do request vet and personal references. • We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter
