About Jayda
Jayda is a survivor. After being abandoned in Genesee Valley Park with several other pups, she made her way to rescue and hasn’t looked back. Now estimated at around 3 years old and weighing in at 50lbs, Jayda is equal parts sugar, spice, and mischief. She’ll soak up your love, toss back your jokes, and keep the household running on her terms. Jayda enjoys roaming outdoors with her pack, keeping her mind busy, and relaxing by the fire when the day’s done. She thrives on routine and clear direction, so she’ll do best with someone seasoned in herding breeds and firm on structure. She can be selective with strangers and doesn’t care for chaos, but her loyalty is unmatched once she trusts you. Jayda is playful, clever, and always ready for the next challenge. She is house trained, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and has completed her heartworm treatment. Her future home shouldn’t have young children and must appreciate her strong will and big heart. Jayda is looking for someone who will set boundaries and stick by her side through it all. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Jayda

Jayda, as a German Shepherd mix, thrives with active adopters who can offer space, structure, and plenty of mental stimulation. She does best in a home with a yard and routine rather than an apartment.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
German Shepherd mixes like Jayda benefit from a large, secure yard or regular access to open outdoor spaces where they can run, play, and explore under supervision.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While Jayda can get along with children, her ideal home is one without young kids due to her strong personality and need for structure. German Shepherds excel with older children who understand boundaries.
