I'm Athena - a 45-pound Border Collie mix with a huge heart and an even bigger love for people! If you're looking for a total love bug, you've found your girl. I absolutely adore attention and will happily soak up every bit you're willing to give me. Personal space? I'm still trying to figure out what that means! I'll gently paw at you when I want affection and may even try to climb right into your lap because being close to my humans is my favorite place to be. Playing ball is one of my greatest joys, and I light up when it's time to chase, run, and have fun together. I'm also a big fan of treats - I'll sit like the prettiest girl you've ever seen if snacks are involved! I'm still polishing up my manners since it seems I spent much of my earlier life as an outdoor dog, but I've already learned so much and have become much more social since arriving here. I'm eager to keep learning, especially when treats and praise are part of the lesson! I can be a bit of a counter surfer when something smells interesting, but I'm smart and ready to improve with guidance. I love adventures and staying active, yet I also want to stick right by your side, so a home where someone can spend lots of time with me would make me happiest. I'm dreaming of an active, adventurous family that also loves cuddles and affection as much as I do - a forever home where I can give endless love and finally receive everything I deserve.
