Meet Duke — the pup with the best smile around! He came in feeling a bit overwhelmed, but once given time to settle, Duke has shown his sweet, curious side. He walks nicely on leash, enjoys brief check ins with his favorite people, and loves exploring at his own pace. He’s looking for a patient home that understands he’s a sensitive guy who shines with gentle routines and familiar faces. To set Duke up for success he would do best with older children 8+ and with an adopter that is comfortable going slowly with handling, grooming, and vet care. It’s a 5 day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Be sure to check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
