Jax has been making steady progress in the shelter as he learns the routine and gets more comfortable with his caretakers. Once he warms up, Jax is affectionate, social, and loves to be part of the action. Jax is a smart guy who already knows sit and down, and he’s happy to show them off. He’s playful, goofy, and always ready for fun. Tennis balls? Yes, please. Squeaky toys? Even better. He may drop his toys quickly if something more interesting catches his eye, but that’s part of his silly charm. One thing Jax is very clear about: he prefers to be your one-and-only. If you have a resident dog, we’ll require a meet-and-greet just to be sure everyone feels comfortable, though Jax may ultimately do best as the only dog in the home. What Jax is really looking for is someone who understands that big feelings come with big love. He is strong, spirited, and full of potential. With patience, consistency, and a good dose of humor, Jax will be an incredibly rewarding companion. It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
