Though not yet spayed, she is set to be adopted under a Sterilization Agreement. Currently located in Warrington, PA, she embodies the loving, gentle nature typical of her breed.
About Brooke AKA Brookie
Meet Brooke, or Brookie Cookie as we affectionately call her. This sweet girl is a former breeder dog who was surrendered with her mom after they developed a knack for chasing free-range chickens on the farm. Given this, it's best for her to be placed in a home without cats for their safety. Brooke currently co-exists peacefully with a young fox red Labrador Retriever and a veteran yellow Labrador mix. She seems to connect especially well with the younger dog, suggesting they might be kindred spirits. While she respects the space of the older dog, she would thrive in an environment with children aged five and up. True to her Labrador roots, Brooke enjoys playing fetch with tennis balls and loves walks, where she behaves well on a leash. Although we haven't yet tested her swimming abilities due to pool renovations, her playful spirit is sure to shine. After spending five years in a barn, she now enjoys the comfort of a home, particularly the central air conditioning. Unlike many of her kind, Brooke isn’t particularly food motivated; she eats her kibble leisurely, though treats are definitely a highlight. She was originally scheduled to be spayed, but went into heat sooner than expected. Therefore, she will be adopted with a Sterilization Agreement.
