Pearl is a large, short-coated, yellow-tan senior Labrador Retriever who is 10 years and 10 months old and living in Warrington, PA. She is house trained, spayed, and her vaccinations are up to date. Pearl moves well given her age, though she does manage arthritis and a past leg injury with medication. This older lady still has a playful spirit and a calm personality.

About Pearl

Pearl is looking for a place to call her own where she can soak up all the attention as the only dog in the home. At nearly 11 years old, Pearl was surrendered due to her previous owner's health, but she’s handled the change with her signature sweetness. Despite an old CCL rupture and a partial ACL tear leaving her with a plate in one hip and a slight limp, Pearl largely gets around just fine. She manages arthritis and some urinary leakage with daily meds. Don’t underestimate this senior—she still plays with her toys and enjoys gentle strolls. Pearl needs a home with minimal stairs, ideally a ranch house or a setup where she won’t spend nights alone on a different floor. She gets along with other dogs out in the world but has always lived solo and really deserves to remain the sole “fur child.” Her gentle presence and good nature make her an excellent companion, especially for someone ready to spoil her. Pearl is in Warrington, PA and adoption is limited to families within an hour drive. Click apply to start the adoption process.

Questions about Pearl

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Pearl, as a Labrador Retriever, thrives in homes with space to move around but especially appreciates a ranch-style or single-floor environment due to her mobility needs. She is best suited to households that can accommodate her limited stair use and value a calm, steady companion.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Labrador Retrievers, like Pearl, enjoy having a yard or access to outdoor areas, though at her age she mostly wants enough space for short walks and a spot to relax outside. A fenced yard is ideal, but low-key strolls are more her pace.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Pearl is known to get along well with children, and Labrador Retrievers in general are gentle, tolerant family companions. Supervising young children is always recommended, especially with seniors like Pearl who have old injuries.
