About Brandenburg

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Brandenburg is a very sweet little guy who is searching for someone to give him the loving care he truly deserves. Having come from a difficult hoarding situation in Alabama, Brandenburg lived among about 40 other dogs, and his previous owner was unable to tend to all of their needs. Despite this rough start, Brandenburg is already beginning to improve, though he's still working on growing his fur back and gaining confidence. Since he lacked the socialization most pups receive, Brandenburg will benefit from a patient family willing to help him acclimate to the world. He’s a scruffy small terrier mix, weighing around 10 pounds, and due to his size and shyness, he’d do best in a home with older children or only adults. Brandenburg is also best matched with gentle pets, as he is delicate and could be overwhelmed by boisterous dogs. Estimated to be about two years old, he is ready to blossom into a fabulous companion once he feels secure, decompresses, and learns that he will always be cared for. Although Brandenburg is currently in Alabama, he’ll be coming to Maine in mid-May to find his forever home. If you’re looking for a loyal, resilient little companion who will reward your patience with endless affection, Brandenburg may be the one for you. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
