About Easter
Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today. Easter is a sweet little dog who truly embodies the spirit of a rescue. She began her journey in a challenging hoarding situation in Alabama, living with about 40 other dogs. Her previous owner struggled to provide for so many animals, and Easter arrived at the rescue in need of some extra care and comfort. With time and love, she has already made great stridesโher appearance has improved, and she's starting to come out of her shell, though she still needs help growing her fur back and gaining confidence. Easter is a petite, scruffy terrier mix weighing around 10 lbs, making her best suited for a home with adults or older children, where her delicate nature can be respected. Because she did not receive typical socialization as a puppy, she will thrive in a patient family willing to help her learn about the world and feel safe. She should not live with large, boisterous dogs, as she may feel overwhelmed. At about one year old, Easter is ready to shine as a devoted companion once she settles in and knows that her needs will always be met. She is currently in Alabama but will be making her way to Maine in mid-May, eagerly awaiting the new life she deserves. Click apply to start the adoption process.
