About Theo
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Theo is waiting patiently for his forever family to find him! Rescued from a hoarding situation, he has shown incredible resilience and is learning to enjoy the comforts of home life as he flourishes in his Maine foster environment. While he may be shy at first, especially in a new place, his confidence grows each day. This sweet small breed mix, weighing in at about 20 pounds and estimated to be two years old, is mostly potty trained. He sometimes has accidents when he's nervous or overstimulated, but quickly redirects with gentle encouragement. Theo has learned how to walk on leash and loves his walks, and he’s crate trained at night, settling happily once he’s in his cozy spot. Theo’s ideal family will have someone home with him most of the time and would ideally include a calm dog companion. He hasn’t lived with cats before, so his compatibility is unknown, but he does enjoy gentle attention from teens or older children—though consistent youthful energy can overwhelm him, so a quieter home would be best. He's a big fan of cuddling and absolutely adores playing fetch with his tennis ball. This lovable little guy has a manageable medical condition that’s well controlled with medication, and he's ready for a home that’s as loving as he is. Give Theo the chance to finally settle in and feel safe—he’ll reward you with affection and companionship for years to come! They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
