About Boo Special Needs

What are you waiting for? Apply today! Boo arrived at the rescue after being saved from a hoarding situation where he was used as a breeder, and he is seeking a caring, experienced adopter to give him the love and stability he deserves. Boo is a unique companion—he is selective with the people he trusts, forming strong and loyal bonds with his chosen person, but can show aggression toward others. While he has previously lived with both dogs and cats, Boo is not recommended for homes with children due to his personality. He is crate trained, and a securely fenced yard is required for his safety and comfort. Fun fact: Boo was born May 21, making him a Gemini—Geminis are known for their complex, loyal personalities, qualities that definitely shine through in Boo! Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.

Questions about Boo Special Needs

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Dachshunds are adaptable and do well in both apartments and houses, as long as they receive enough attention and exercise. They thrive in homes where they can be part of the family.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Dachshunds benefit from access to a secure yard, but they can also thrive in homes without one if they are given regular walks and playtime. A small, safe outdoor space is ideal for short bursts of activity.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Dachshunds can be good with gentle, respectful children, but their small size and strong personalities mean they may do best in homes with older kids or adults who understand dog boundaries.
