About Lila
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Lila! Lila is a 1–2-year-old Dachshund mix, tipping the scales at just 14 pounds of pure sweetness. She may be a bit shy when you first meet her, but with a little patience, she quickly reveals her deeply loyal and loving nature. Since entering her foster home, Lila has already begun to show her affectionate side and is sure to grow even more attached as she settles in. Lila has experience living with several dogs, so she’s very well-socialized and enjoys the company of other pups. Because she's a bit on the timid side, Lila will thrive best in a calm household, especially with older children if there are kids present. She will go home spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and protected with flea and heartworm prevention. Please note: a secure fenced yard is required for Lila unless otherwise specified. Questions about Lila
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Dachshund mixes thrive in loving homes with moderate activity levels. They appreciate calm, structured environments and can do well in both houses and apartments, provided they are given enough attention and safe outdoor time.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
While Dachshund mixes do not require a large backyard, they do enjoy daily walks and some room to explore safely. Secure outdoor spaces are ideal but regular leash walks can meet their exercise needs.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Dachshund mixes can be good with children, especially older and calmer kids who know how to interact respectfully with dogs. Supervision is recommended, as they may be intimidated by very young or boisterous children.
