About Jace
Jace is a white and brown bulldog mix weighing about 55 pounds. His goofy side comes out the second he tries to climb into your lap, not realizing just how big he is. He's happiest curled up next to someone who will give him belly rubs and scratch his head. Jace is sharp and picks up commands like sit, down, and leave it quickly—he’ll do just about anything for a treat. If you stuff a Kong with kibble, toss him a bone, or play tug of war, he’ll be the best buddy you could ask for. He enjoys fetch, though he won’t always drop the ball without some convincing. Jace likes to follow people around the house and simply relax within arm’s reach. He’s house and crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash. After spending much of his early life chained outside and starved, he sometimes guards his food but otherwise has a big heart and a light spirit. He isn’t comfortable with other dogs, likely from bad experiences, but he does like cats—as long as they keep clear of his food. Jace has a unique look from an old injury to his face that won’t completely heal, but it barely matters to him. He’s neutered, vaccinated, and finished with his heartworm treatment. Jace is in Hampton, VA (transport possible to a good home, with possible fee). If you want a loyal, snuggly partner, this guy is ready for a new start.
