About Hazel
Hazel is an American Bulldog mix with a white and tan coat and a signature big smile. She’s playful and sweet, always ready for a cuddle after a good romp with her people. House and crate trained, Hazel is happiest inside with her family and doesn’t like spending long hours outdoors. She’s got lots of energy and really enjoys running and playing ball, but she can also settle in for a relaxed nap in her kennel—a spot where she feels secure. Hazel adores mellow canine friends and does well with other dogs. Cats remain a mystery, but she can be tested if needed. Because of her size and enthusiasm, homes with children over 10 are the best fit. Hazel’s strong on leash and can pull, so she’ll need an adopter who can handle her strength and set clear boundaries. She’s a big, lovable girl (about 77 pounds) who can sometimes be clumsy but always means well. Hazel has digestive issues and does best on a lamb and rice diet. She’s also known to chew things if unsupervised, so crate time is a must when she’s alone. She’s spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. Currently fostered in New Kent, VA, she can be transported out of state for the right adopter, though a transport fee might apply. Her birthday makes her a Virgo—known for intelligence and loyalty. Applicants must be at least 21. Click apply to start the adoption process.
