Hello, I’m Hazel, an American Bulldog mix with a white and tan coat and a big smile. I’m a playful and sweet girl who loves to have fun and cuddle with my people. I’m house and crate trained. I get so excited to go for walks, and I’m very strong which means I can pull hard. I need an owner who can handle me and teach me some manners. I’m good with other dogs, especially mellow ones. We don’t know how I feel about cats, but I can be cat-tested if you'd like. I have a lot of energy and I like to run around and play with balls. Because of my size, any kids in the home would have to be older (over 10). But I also like to relax and nap in my own space. I have a large kennel where I feel comfortable and safe. I don’t like to be outdoors for too long and prefer to be inside with my people. I’m afraid of being abandoned, so I don’t like to go far from home or my people. I have some digestive issues, so I need a special diet of lamb and rice. I also need to be crated when I’m not supervised, because I can chew on things. I’m a big girl, about 77 pounds, and I can be clumsy sometimes. But if you are used to large dogs, you will love me. I’m a gentle giant who just wants to be loved. I have a lot of potential and I’m ready to show you what a great dog I can be. I’m spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. I’m being fostered in New Kent, VA but I can be transported to other states for the right home. A transport fee may apply.
