About Leia
Leia is a 7-month-old medium mix, part husky, who packs plenty of energy and personality into her 47-pound frame. She’s spayed, vaccinated, and already house, leash, and crate trained, making it easy to settle her into a new routine. Leia greets people with a wagging tail and a gentle, friendly manner—she thrives on attention and quickly wins over everyone she meets. Always ready for fun, Leia plays tug-of-war, chases balls, splashes in water, and all but insists you join her in play by nudging you with a toy. She enjoys treats and loves staying close to her people, ideally while gnawing on a favorite toy. While sweet and submissive by nature, she’s also known to give a little playful sass, often “talking back” during training in a way that turns correction into comedy. During walks, she stops to take in her surroundings, happy to observe anything new. Leia’s ideal environment is an active household with a large fenced yard and older kids who understand dogs. She gets along with other dogs and hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but seems open to new companions. Though she walks with a slight limp from an old injury, it doesn’t hold her back—she keeps pace with the best of them. She sleeps well in her crate, travels decently in the car (after a nudge to get in), and tolerates baths without complaint. Leia is currently in Fayetteville, NC, and can be transported out of state for the right adopter. If you want an affectionate, playful, and endlessly entertaining new sidekick, Leia is ready to meet you. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
