About Patty Puppy
This dog is being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas, or North Central Texas area. NAME: Patty GENDER: Female (Spayed) AGE: Approximately 7 Months WEIGHT: About 7.6 pounds DOGS/CATS: Good with small dogs, Unknown with cats CHILDREN: Should be fine with older, mature children (10 and older) OTHER: Chihuahua / Dachshund / Jack Russell Terrier Introducing one of our newest CRT fosters – Patty. Patty was rescued the day before St Patrick’s Day, thus the name Patty! The original owner left the house with his male dog, leaving all the female dogs behind to fend for themselves. There was no electricity in the home and it was falling down. There were three female Chihuahua mixes left behind and one was very pregnant. Chihuahua Rescue & Transport worked with Mini Mutts Rescue and Fuzzy Texan Rescue to rescue all three dogs. Patty gets along well with the other small dogs in her foster home. She loves to play and will run and tumble with them. She enjoys exploring the yard and also loves to do zoomies. She enjoys cuddling with her dog buddies and will take team naps in the same dog bed. Patty loves toys. She enjoys the fluffy squeaky ones. Her favorite is her little 3 inch plush duck – she carries that toy everywhere! She also will play tug-of-war with the rope toys! Patty was a little shy when she first came into her foster home. After all, humans had let her down at her original home – what could she expect now. So she watched from a distance, wandering how she would fit in. After a few days, she relaxed and now she is like a normal puppy. She loves to interact with her family, following them from room to room. She loves lap time and belly rubs. She enjoys treats and being spoiled. She is very smart and wants to please her humans. She has terrific manners and is a lovable little girl. This girl has captured our hearts and we know you will love her. Patty is smart. She is working on her outside potty habits and is doing well. As long as her family is taking her out on a regular schedule, she will continue to learn. As a puppy she does still have occasional accidents, but she is learning quickly. At night, Patty sleeps quietly in her dog bed. She also loves to crawl up and cuddle in bed with you if you will let her. She is a great snuggle buddy. Due to her vaccination status, we are just beginning to work with her on a harness and leash. Our vet believes that Patty is about 7 months old. She weighs a perfect 7.6 pounds and is done growing. Patty has a white coat with golden / reddish highlights. She has the cutest one ear up and one ear down look. We know she is a mix. Our vet believes she is a Chihuahua / Dachshund and Jack Russell Terrier combination. If one of our supporters wants to donate a Wisdom Panel DNA kit, we’ll happily use it on her to see what her DNA says! We can tell you she is 100% adorable. Even though Patty is a puppy, she is has a mellow personality. So her ideal home will be one with a laid back to moderate activity level. She would love to have another small dog (maybe 1 – 4 years old) to play with and to learn from. Patty will need a family who can check on her every 4-6 hours (would not be a good fit for a family that works 10-12 hour days). She would be great in a home where people were home a lot because she adores her family. She is fairly quiet. There are no children in her foster home, but we think she would do well with older, mature children (10 and older). Patty is being fostered in the DFW area. If this sweet girl sounds like the right fit for your home, our CRT adoption form can be found at HTTP://www.chihuahua-Rescue.com/adoption-application/ Note: it works best when our application is filled out on a computer versus a phone or tablet. Patty is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family, could that family be yours? This dog is a CRT rescue.
