Rickie
AvailableRickie is a large, senior mixed breed black Labrador Retriever with a medium coat currently living at Charley's Strays. She is a spayed female who loves leash walks and car rides. Rickie is not yet house trained but is friendly with people and other dogs, and she does best in a cat-free environment. She receives Dasuquin for mild arthritis and is up to date on her rabies vaccination. Rickie is seeking a quiet, loving adult home where she can feel safe and secure.
About Rickie
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Rickie is a lovely female black lab mix who found herself at Charley's Strays with her brother Toby after their beloved owner and longtime supporter passed away. Recently, Rickie also lost her brother, leaving her feeling especially lonely in the shelter. This sweet senior, weighing about 65 pounds, is approximately 11 years old and fully spayed. Rickie is shy and tends to be afraid of loud noises, so she would blossom in a quieter adult home. Ideally, her new family might already have a confident, respectful dog to help her settle in and build confidence. Rickie enjoys going for leash walks and loves car rides. While she has a bit of arthritis and takes Dasuquin for joint support, she remains friendly and gentle with people and dogs. She does need a cat-free home. Rickie is vaccinated and up to date on her rabies shot. Any additional vetting to ensure she’s current on all care will be covered by the rescue. This sweet girl has endured tremendous loss and is looking for a home where she will be cherished. Whether you’re interested in fostering or adopting, Rickie would love to meet you.
