About Madysen
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Madysen is a 6-year-old, spayed female Lab/Terrier mix who arrived at Charley's Strays after being transferred from a crowded Southern shelter, where she was found as a stray alongside another dog, likely her brother. Sadly, her brother was adopted before her, and little is known about Madysen's earlier life. What is certain is that Madysen has a sweet disposition and thrives with patience, love, and training. She is strong, playful, and will require a dedicated adopter who can provide plenty of daily exercise, such as running, hiking, or playing in a securely fenced yard. Continued positive-reinforcement-based obedience training will be key. Handlers with large breed experience have spent time with her and believe Madysen will flourish in a home familiar with rescue dogs. Since she was found with another dog, she may do well with a resident male dog of similar size and energy, but she is not suited for homes with small or senior dogs. Madysen must go to a cat-free household, and all meet-and-greets with resident dogs are required. An adult-only home is essential, as Madysen’s play style is exuberant and she is known to be mouthy and jump up without realizing her strength. She is spayed and current on her vaccinations. Open your heart and home to Madysen. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
