Marlow is a very sweet boy who loves to cuddle, be held, and give plenty of kisses. He enjoys playing with toys and tends to rotate through them quickly, though chasing a ball is a clear favorite. He likes being close to his people but can also play on his own once he settles in. Marlow is fairly vocal and will let you know when he has something to say or when he is ready for a nap. He is doing well with early training. Marlow is making great progress with potty training and goes outside most of the time with only a few accidents so far. He is getting comfortable in his crate and settles down quickly for naps and bedtime. He seems to know how to sit on command and is practicing sitting before coming out of his crate to work on impulse control. Bernese Mountain Dogs are working dogs that grow into large adults, so continued training and structure will be important as he grows. The breed is known for being smart and eager to please, and Marlow already shows both traits. He is curious and confident. He does well outside, is not easily startled by loud noises, and enjoys exploring. A home with space to run and play would be a great fit for him. Marlow is already showing the loyal, affectionate nature the breed is known for. With the right home, continued training, and room to grow, he is going to be an incredible companion for someone ready to welcome a big dog with an even bigger heart.
